I haven’t ever had a family session end with a family dance-off until the Dahlin family. And I hope that changes – I hope more of you will show me your moves with your kids! How stinking fun is that?! Especially for the kids! I was told that this family hadn’t ever had a real photography session, but you wouldn’t know it by the outcome. They were the ideal clients. From the moment they arrived to our (lovely) location – mom and dad just focused on their kids. They all played – the boys ran around like little boys do. The whole family checked out the trees and grass and they played — together. And by playing together the kids were encouraged to explore and just have FUN! I’m gushing over this because that is what I love to see. We parents are so busy sometimes – by work, by our phone, by housework – lots of things. Sessions are a wonderful time to play with your kids and make memories :)
I love how our session began with a slightly grumpy, slightly shy little guy who wasn’t excited about me in his face with a camera. I love how you see how he came alive during our session and especially at the end with his boogie fever! :)
And yes – this was from fall! Eeek!! I’m a little behind on blogging. I’m trying to get more posts up!
